He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) and the American Dental Association (ADA).

Outside of residency, Dr. Powers enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife, Alyssa, and their two sons, Landon and Bryson. The family loves pool days, trips to the zoo, and cheering on the Steelers and Penguins.
