Meet Oral Surgeon, Dr. Davies
Dr. Sarah Davies grew up in Murrysville, PA. After high school, she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her undergraduate studies. She remained in North Carolina for her dental education and received her D.D.S. degree from UNC–CH in 2000. After dental school, Dr. Davies moved back to the Pittsburgh area to complete her specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. As part of her six year oral surgery residency training, Dr. Davies attended medical school at Pitt and received her M.D. degree in 2004. She completed a one year internship in general surgery, and then finished her chief resident year and earned her certificate in oral and maxillofacial surgery in 2006. After a two year move to San Francisco, Dr. Davies returned to Pittsburgh to practice oral surgery and serve as full time faculty at the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Dental Medicine. Dr. Davies joined Pittsburgh Oral Surgery full-time in 2012 and maintains a teaching appointment at the University of Pittsburgh as Clinical Assistant Professor.
Dr. Davies is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Her clinical interests include dentoalveolar surgery, bone grafting and dental implant surgery, oral pathology, and reconstructive jaw surgery. Dr. Davies currently resides in Pittsburgh with her husband and two children. Outside of work she spends time running, cooking, reading, and enjoying the many outdoor parks and cultural offerings in the city of Pittsburgh.
